Are you Heavenly Minded? | Being Eternally-Minded.

The Bible says in Mathew 16:26 “And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?” While living in this earth we must understand the truth that even when we die our soul won’t die, it has a life beyond this earth either it will live eternally in heaven or hell and choice is ours to live life according to what God says and to have eternal life with Him in Heaven or to go the other way living worldly and in its sin that will only lead path to hell and being heavenly minded is to live according to God’s word, God really cares that no life is wasted and He wants us to be with Him in His place forever.

Your life on Earth is a preparation for your life in Heaven. Preparation is waiting on God, Knowing Him as your Father, as only light in this World, Knowing Him as a wonderful friend and nearest help, Knowing Him as one who has bigger thoughts than us, Knowing Him as a healer, Protector, Comforter, Promise keeper, most importantly knowing His love for us, Knowing the authority we have in Him, list can go on…. That’s what is our priority in life to Know JESUS as our everything.

Nowadays we live so much worried to accomplish life goals and constantly behind gaining much in this world, which is not wrong one must be hard working and achieve their dreams but that should not be our priority. Our Priority must be first to seek Him as written in Matthew 6:33 “But seek you first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” 

Always remember we are just travelers on Earth and our home is heaven as written in Hebrews 13:14 “For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.” And in Philippians 3:20 says “But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.”

One who is Heavenly minded finds Joy, Peace, Comfort while on Earth. Hardships, troubles, pain, suffering is a part and parcel of life, and we cannot have a life without any problems even when we live a Christian life but we can overcome those problems with the Strength and help of the Holy Spirit. John 16:33 says “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but take heart; I have overcome the world.”

1 John 2:15 says “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of Father is not in Him”, because we love the one who is in heaven, there is a little bit of Heaven in us and when He is in us we find joy and peace in our life.

We have a great hope no matter what we face on this earth Revelation 21:4 says “ He  will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

“When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. John 14:3”

How beautiful it is that our Lord himself went to prepare a place for us, to spend eternity with Him. God has given us beautiful gift of eternal life and the Bible tells to be concerned about our name to be written in book of life, Luke 10:20 says “However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven”.

To enter heaven its not based on weighing our good deeds and bad deeds, there is only one way and that's only through our Lord Jesus Christ. Our needs are many but the most needed thing in our life is already granted to us, that’s Eternal life and one who has given us eternal life can provide every need of our's too. 1 John 2:17 says “the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever”.

Heavenly Father we thank You for giving us the most beautiful and the most essential gift of Eternal life. Help us to be heavenly minded and live in purity each day. Help us focus on you and be led by your word, In Jesus name Amen…..
