Let Go and Let God

WHY YOU SHOULD LET GO AND LET GOD

Have you ever heard of a phrase to “let Go and let God” and thought this phrase is nothing but cliche!  For many the answer may be yes! But this is not just the overused phrase, this words are much deeper than we think, it can make a greater shift in our life, it can activate the purpose of God in the season we are in, it can remove the unwanted clutter which was result of some wrong choices we made, it can allow us to depend on God more, if we really know significance of this phrase it can release us from our worries.

“We were not designed to carry hurt, pain, worries by our own strength.”

The Bible does say commit to the Lord whatever you do and He will establish your plans Proverbs 16:3. and many times throughout the bible verses like cast your cares upon him for He cares for you, Submit to God, Call on Him and He will deliver you and many more verses that simply tell us to let God and let go of the worries, anxiety, bitterness, hurt, pain…. Because we were not designed to carry this by our own, we need God to help us, heal us and restore us. When we allow God to take control over what we are going through then He gives us peace over our anxiety, heals our wounds and frees us from burden.

“Forgiving others is freeing yourself”

To forgive sometimes can be really difficult but it has the power to free us from bitterness. The Bible says in the book of Ephesians 4:31, 32 “let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you”. Bitterness can go away only if we forgive and when it’s really hard to forgive ask God’s grace that can only help us to forgive others, allow Him to give us peace in that matter. God is ready to give us if we depend on Him to forgive others.

“Shutting past door can open new door”

When people are tied up with the past for instance may be a toxic relationship that God has already asked to let go but still holding on, so how can one expect God to bring a new relationship and we pray ‘God let your will be done in my life’ and then we think why such prayer doesn’t work. Our prayer will only work if we listen and submit to God first. All comes down to let go else it will block the blessings God has in store for you, shut that door and let God open a new door for you.

“It can bring victory in your life”

When you allow God in everything God will give you victory. 1 Corinthians 15:57 says “but thanks be to God! He gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ”. Next time when you need peace, want to be burden-free, healed of that hurt then just walk this phrase “Let Go and Let God”.

Prayer

Heavenly father I Pray for those who struggle to let Go of certain things that is blocking them from your blessings, Lord give them the grace to forgive, help them to get over the things which you asked them to let go, heal their wounds, every brokenness and let your peace that passes all understanding comes upon them. In Jesus name Amen.
