| Right Hand Of God |
This year I got my promise verse from the book of Isaiah 41:10
“so do not fear, for I Am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I
will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous RIGHT
HAND.” Though I read many times about the right hand of God in the bible but never really thought about what exactly it means, this led me to learn more about this topic and it really blessed me to know its significance over our life. So here are some of them, hope this blesses you as well.
"Right hand pictures Blessing"
Jacob was ill and he wanted to see Joseph, his son before he
died, Joseph went to meet him with two of his sons Manasseh and Ephraim. Jacob
blessed Joseph and then he was about to bless Joseph’s sons, because Jacob couldn’t
see properly Joseph brought his sons near him, Jacob blessed Ephraim with his
right hand who was the younger crossing his hand and blessed Manasseh with his
left hand. Joseph tried to correct Jacob to put his right hand on Manasseh because
he was first born but Jacob told him he knew what he did. This incidence from the book
of Genesis chapter 48 does show the significance of the right hand when blessing people.
Psalms 44:3 says “It was not by their sword they won the land,
nor did their arm bring them victory; It was your right hand, your arm….” When God places his right hand upon us that is
giving His strength to us so that we would get the victory in what we do.
“Right hand of God shows Support”
Psalms 18:35 says “you have given me the shield of your
salvation, and your right hand supported me…” this shows the right hand of God is
support for His children.
“Right hand of God pictures Position”
Luke 22:69 says, “But from now on the Son of man shall be
seated at the right hand of the power of God.”
Psalms 110:1 says “The LORD says to my Lord: “Sit at my
right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.”
Revelation 3:21 “The one who conquers, I will grant him to
sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on
His throne.”
Same position He gives to His children who believe and live life according to Him.
“Right hand of God Pictures Strength”
Isaiah 48:13 says my hand laid the foundation of the earth,
and my right hand spread out the heavens; when I call to them, they stand forth
together.
Psalms 89:13 says “You have a mighty arm; strong is your hand,
high your right hand
“Right hand will uphold and
hold you”
Psalms 139:10 says “Even your
hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me”
Psalms 16:8 says “I have set
the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be
shaken
Psalms 63:8 says “My soul
clings to you; your right hand upholds me.”
And there are many more
significance of God’s Right hand. When we are touched by his right hand
we are under His divine blessing, His strength, His Power and His Protection.
Prayer
Heavenly Father I pray that
your mighty hand may touch your people, protect them, uphold them, and give
them strength and victory in their life. May You continue to bless them and
lead them with your right hand in Jesus name Amen.
